General information
The Master Degree in Architecture (five-year run) Arc5UE has as main objective the formation of a professional, conforming to architect's qualification, as delineated by the European Directive 2005/36 related to the recognition of the professional qualifications.
The five years structure guarantees the correspondence to the paragraph 1 of the section 8 related to the formation of the architect. The contents of the teachings and the weights assigned to every disciplinary sector - of the important and qualified formative almost centenary "tradition" of the studies of Architecture in Naples - maintain a balanced relationship among the theoretical and practical aspects of the education of the architect and guarantee the acquisition of the knowledge and the competences in the 11 points of the European document.
The activities of base (MAT/03, MAT/05, ING-IND/11, ICAR/18, ICAR /17), are articulated in monodisciplinary or integrated courses. They are planned in the first three years, except few specific cases related to the design studios at the end of the formative journey. The characterizing activities (ICAR/14, ICAR/19, ICAR/08, ICAR/09, ICAR/20, ICAR/21, ICAR/12, ICAR/22, IUS /10) are as well articulated in monodisciplinary or integrated courses and in the design studios. Similar or integrative teachings are tied up to the sectors ICAR/15 and ICAR/16 (a part of the credits is assigned besides to present sectors in the activities of base and characterizing). The program includes an audit of the knowledge of a foreign language (English), of computer competencies, a period of apprenticeship and a final test.
